Robot Alarm Codes 5053-5063 Repair

During the operation of the OTC DAIHEN Welding Robot, if the system experiences abnormalities such as voltage parameter mismatch, WCR short circuit, electrode/workpiece adhesion, filler wire heating exception, or serial weaving synchronization failure, the teach pendant will usually display a hardware and control-level alarm in the 5053 to 5063 range. If these faults are not investigated promptly, they may cause serious operational safety hazards or damage to core components such as the reducer.

To help on-site engineers and mechanics quickly locate problems, we have organized the diagnostic terminology from the official maintenance manual to provide you with the following intuitive fault quick reference table. We recommend using the search function, entering the error code (e.g., 5053), to accurately obtain troubleshooting and processing suggestions.

I. OTC Robot Alarm Code Real-Time Quick Reference Table (5053-5063)

Alarm Code Fault Phenomenon Fault Cause Analysis Countermeasures & Solutions
5053 Welding Voltage Adjustment Method Differs The voltage adjustment method currently taught in the program is inconsistent with the adjustment method of the internal characteristic data. Check and modify the job program, unify the voltage adjustment method setting, and then execute an exception reset.
5054 WCR Short Circuit Error When the arc starts, a short circuit occurs in the WCR (Welding Current Cutoff Control) of the W-I/F (Welding Interface Board). Check the W-I/F control cable or the short circuit status on the welding power source side, and restart regeneration to reset the exception.
5056 Electrode Short Circuit Exception During the arc welding operation, the welding wire electrode and the workpiece have a short circuit adhesion. Modify the job program parameters, manually cut the welding wire to release the short circuit adhesion state, and then execute an exception reset.
5057 Filler Wire Heating Exception The wire inside the power supply contact tip is disconnected due to abnormally high temperature melting. Check whether the contact tip and heating cable have poor contact or disconnection, and restart and reset after repair.
5058 Filler Wire Heating Poor There is no wire passing through the power supply contact tip, or it is unexpectedly disconnected due to melting during heating. Check whether there is any abnormality in the contact tip, wire feeding mechanism, and heating circuit, and restart and reset after repair.
5059 Wire Short Circuit Exception During the arc welding operation, an unexpected short circuit occurred between the external wire feeding wire and the workpiece. Check the W-I/F signal or the wiring status of the welding power source, eliminate the physical short circuit, and then restart regeneration to reset.
5060 Cannot Read Heating Characteristic File Internal data damage or read error occurred when the system read the heating characteristic file. Enter the system file menu, perform initialization on the heating characteristic file, and then execute an exception reset.
5061 Arc Condition File Does Not Exist The specified arc condition file called in the arc welding function command does not exist in the system. Create a corresponding arc condition file, or edit the job program to replace it with a valid call number, and then reset the exception.
5062 No Deviation Condition/Multi-Deviation File The specified deviation condition file or multi-deviation file called by the multi-deviation function does not exist in the system. Create the required deviation condition/multi-deviation file, or edit the corresponding program parameters, and then execute a reset.
5063 Weaving Synchronization Failed A communication handshake failure occurred between the welding power source and the robot’s extended serial communication board. Check the communication cable between the extended serial board and the power source, and respectively restart the power supply of the control device and the welding power source.

When the robot frequently displays the above hardware-level alarms, and routine reset attempts are ineffective, do not forcefully pull the robot arm or repeatedly force restarts, so as not to cause secondary irreversible damage.
