Robot Alarm Codes 5288-5297 Repair

During the operation of the OTC DAIHEN Welding Robot, if the system experiences problems such as temporary buffer point not defined, pattern search macro logic error, or adaptive welding current/voltage issue, the teach pendant will usually display a hardware and control-level alarm in the 5288 to 5297 range. If these faults are not investigated promptly, they may cause serious operational safety hazards or damage to core components such as the reducer.

To help on-site engineers and mechanics quickly locate problems, we have organized the diagnostic terminology from the official maintenance manual to provide you with the following intuitive fault quick reference table. We recommend using the search function, entering the error code (e.g., 5288), to accurately obtain troubleshooting and processing suggestions.

I. OTC Robot Alarm Code Real-Time Quick Reference Table (5288-5297)

Alarm Code Fault Phenomenon Fault Cause Analysis Countermeasures & Solutions
5288 Undefined Temporary Buffer Point Referenced When executing SF2/ZF2, an undefined temporary buffer point was referenced. Modify the pattern search macro so that it references the temporary buffer point after definition, and then perform an exception reset.
5289 Cannot Define or Recognize Vector The start point and end point of the S command and M command are the same, or the two vectors are the same during the vector intersection operation. Check the vector specified by the temporary buffer point in each command, eliminate the error, and then perform an exception reset.
5290 Logic Error in Pattern Search Macro The parameter setting error of the pattern search macro caused an SF2/ZF2 execution error. Modify the content and parameter settings of the pattern search macro (including the set point), and then perform an exception reset.
5291 Operation Error Occurred When Executing SF2/ZF2 Cannot obtain the search target point of the S (Search) command or the action target point of the M (Move) command. Modify the pattern search macro and parameter settings to ensure they are within the operating range, and then perform an exception reset.
5292 Exceeded DE Search Range The movement of the robot during DE exceeds the search range. Modify (increase) the DE search range or change the program to correct the error, and then reset the fault.
5293 Teaching Prohibited Command Between ZF and Thereafter An exception occurs when an unallowed command is taught in ZF-ZT and ZF-ZE. Check the taught content in the ZF-ZT and ZF-ZE sections, delete or modify the prohibited command, and reset the fault.
5294 Adaptive Welding Current Too High The welding current specified by the adaptive control exceeds the maximum current display value of the adaptive control. Check the data table, increase the maximum current display value for adaptive control, and then reset the fault.
5295 Adaptive Welding Current Insufficient The welding current specified by the adaptive control is lower than the minimum current display value of the adaptive control. Check the data table, decrease the minimum current display value for adaptive control, and then reset the fault.
5296 Adaptive Welding Voltage Too High The welding voltage specified by the adaptive control exceeds the maximum voltage display value. Check the data table, increase the maximum voltage display value for adaptive control, and then reset the fault.
5297 Adaptive Welding Voltage Insufficient The welding voltage specified by the adaptive control is lower than the minimum voltage display value. Check the data table, decrease the minimum voltage display value for adaptive control, and then reset the fault.

When the robot frequently displays the above hardware-level alarms, and routine reset attempts are ineffective, do not forcefully pull the robot arm or repeatedly force restarts, so as not to cause secondary irreversible damage.
