Robot Alarm Codes 5318-5333 Repair

During the operation of the OTC DAIHEN Welding Robot, if the system experiences problems such as search distance exception, measurement point positioning error, or calibration compensation exception, the teach pendant will usually display a hardware and control-level alarm in the 5318 to 5333 range. If these faults are not investigated promptly, they may cause serious operational safety hazards or damage to core components such as the reducer.

To help on-site engineers and mechanics quickly locate problems, we have organized the diagnostic terminology from the official maintenance manual to provide you with the following intuitive fault quick reference table. We recommend using the search function, entering the error code (e.g., 5318), to accurately obtain troubleshooting and processing suggestions.

I. OTC Robot Alarm Code Real-Time Quick Reference Table (5318-5333)

Alarm Code Fault Phenomenon Fault Cause Analysis Countermeasures & Solutions
5318 Cannot Search This error occurs when the input search action distance is too long. Modify (increase) the search range or program, correct the error, and then perform an exception reset.
5319 Minimum Search Distance Error This error occurs when the robot moves outside the search range. Modify (increase) the search range or program, correct the error, no reset operation is required.
5320 Calibration Compensation Exception During Remeasurement The measured data has reliability issues, possibly due to sensor or tool installation poor. Acquire the reference point again, and then perform an exception reset.
5321 Quick Check Point Not Measured MESPOS was executed while all point measurements of the quick check point had not been performed. Measure the quick check point again, and then perform an exception reset.
5322 Reference Point Error The reference point was not acquired starting from point 1Q. Acquire the reference point starting from point 1Q, and then perform an exception reset.
5323 Reference Point Error The reference point was not acquired starting from point 1A. Acquire the reference point starting from point 1A, and then perform an exception reset.
5330 Measurement Point Positioning Error Occurs when point “A” and point “B” have different positionings, which may be a sensor error. Acquire the reference point again, no reset operation is required.
5331 Measurement Point Positioning Error (During Search in Z Direction) Occurs when the measurement point positioning during search in the Z direction is different from A1 and B1 or A2 and B2. Acquire the reference point again, no reset operation is required.
5332 Automatic Calibration Compensation Exception The measured data has reliability issues, possibly due to a sensor detection error. Acquire the reference point again, and then perform an exception reset.
5333 Job Program Compensation Exception An exception occurred during job program compensation. Acquire the reference point again, and then perform an exception reset.

When the robot frequently displays the above hardware-level alarms, and routine reset attempts are ineffective, do not forcefully pull the robot arm or repeatedly force restarts, so as not to cause secondary irreversible damage.
