Robot Alarm Codes 6298-6307 Repair

During the operation of the OTC DAIHEN Welding Robot, if the system experiences problems such as adaptive running speed, gap, groove depth, and angle, the teach pendant will usually display a hardware and control-level alarm in the 6298 to 6307 range. If these faults are not investigated promptly, they may cause serious operational safety hazards or damage to core components such as the reducer.

To help on-site engineers and mechanics quickly locate problems, we have organized the diagnostic terminology from the official maintenance manual to provide you with the following intuitive fault quick reference table. We recommend using the search function, entering the error code (e.g., 6298), to accurately obtain troubleshooting and processing suggestions.

I. OTC Robot Alarm Code Real-Time Quick Reference Table (6298-6307)

Alarm Code Fault Phenomenon Fault Cause Analysis Countermeasures & Solutions
6298 Adaptive Running Speed Too Fast The running speed specified by adaptive control exceeds the maximum speed display value. Check the data table via WinUser, increase the maximum speed display value, and then reset the fault.
6299 Adaptive Running Speed Insufficient The running speed specified by adaptive control is lower than the minimum speed display value. Check the data table via WinUser, decrease the minimum speed display value, and then reset the fault.
6300 Exceeded Search Range The robot moved outside the search range. Modify (increase) the search range or program to correct the error, no reset operation is required.
6301 Search Range Insufficient The robot detected a contact state within the minimum search range. Modify (reduce) the search range or program to correct the error, no reset operation is required.
6302 Exceeded Deviation Range The robot moved outside the deviation range. Modify (increase) the deviation range or program to correct the error, no reset operation is required.
6303 Gap Amount Too Large The detected gap amount exceeds the maximum allowable value. Check the gap amount, modify the allowable value if necessary, and then execute an exception reset.
6304 Gap Amount Too Small The detected gap amount is smaller than the minimum allowable value. Check the gap amount, modify the allowable value if necessary, and then execute an exception reset.
6305 Groove Depth Too Deep The detected groove depth exceeds the maximum allowable value. Check the groove depth value, modify the allowable value if necessary, and then execute an exception reset.
6306 Groove Depth Too Shallow The detected groove depth is smaller than the minimum allowable value. Check the groove depth value, modify the allowable value if necessary, and then execute an exception reset.
6307 Angle 1 Too Large The detected angle 1 exceeds the maximum allowable value. Check the size of angle 1, modify the allowable value if necessary, and then execute an exception reset.

When the robot frequently displays the above hardware-level alarms, and routine reset attempts are ineffective, do not forcefully pull the robot arm or repeatedly force restarts, so as not to cause secondary irreversible damage.
