Robot Alarm Codes 2680-2698 Repair

During the operation of the OTC DAIHEN Welding Robot, if the system experiences abnormalities such as axis position over limit, mechanical arm unbalanced, dynamic distortion correction value overflow, or tool center of gravity setting extraction failure, the teach pendant will usually display a hardware and control-level alarm in the 2680 to 2698 range. If these faults are not investigated promptly, they may cause serious operational safety hazards or damage to the mechanical arm joints.

To help on-site engineers and mechanics quickly locate problems, we have organized the diagnostic terminology from the official maintenance manual to provide you with the following intuitive fault quick reference table. We recommend using the search function, entering the error code (e.g., 2680), to accurately obtain troubleshooting and processing suggestions.

I. OTC Robot Alarm Code Real-Time Quick Reference Table (2680-2698)

Alarm Code Fault Phenomenon Fault Cause Analysis Countermeasures & Solutions
2680 XI Axis Position Exceeded Forced Return Amount The actual movement position of the robot’s XI axis exceeds the “forced return amount” threshold set by the system. 1. Use the adjust position key to adjust the XI axis movement position to bring it back within the range; 2. Exception reset.
2681 XI Axis Position Exceeded Record Position Allowable Amount The parameter value of the XI axis in the set step exceeds the “record position allowable amount” range preset by the system. 1. Modify the set value of the XI axis to make it smaller than the “record position allowable amount”; 2. Exception reset.
2682 MAPPING Sensor Not Opened/No Input When executing the MAPPING operation, the system did not detect the input signal of the alignment sensor. 1. Check the physical connection to confirm there is no looseness or open circuit; 2. Confirm the sensor power supply and working status; 3. Exception reset.
2683 SJ Type Glass Processing Manipulator Arm Unbalanced During glass processing operations, the ground angle of the J1 axis is not equal to that of J2; or the encoder calibration was not performed after formatting. 1. Adjust the ground angle of the J1/J2 axes to be consistent or re-execute the calibration process; 2. Exception reset.
2684 Dynamic Distortion Correction Value Overflow (Acceleration Modification) In glass processing operations, the dynamic distortion correction value related to acceleration exceeds the system error check level. 1. Adjust the parameters related to “Acceleration Distortion Modification” to reduce the correction value to within a safe level; 2. Exception reset.
2685 Dynamic Distortion Correction Value Overflow (Teaching Point Modification) In glass processing operations, the dynamic distortion correction value related to the teaching point exceeds the system error check level. 1. Adjust the parameters related to “Teaching Point Distortion Modification” to reduce the correction value to within a safe level; 2. Exception reset.
2686 Dynamic Distortion Correction Value Overflow (Position Modification) In glass processing operations, the dynamic distortion correction value related to position exceeds the system error check level. 1. Adjust the parameters related to “Position Distortion Modification” to reduce the correction value to within a safe level; 2. Exception reset.
2687 Welding Machine Main Fault The welding machine control board detected a core welding error (such as overcurrent, overvoltage, etc.) and fed back a signal to the system. 1. Check the welding machine panel code to troubleshoot the cause; 2. Completely clear the core fault; 3. Exception reset.
2688 Welding Command Not Executed The welding machine control board abandoned the execution of the welding command sequence due to its own fault, causing the robot command to not respond. 1. Troubleshoot and repair the communication or hardware fault on the welding machine side to ensure it is ready; 2. Exception reset.
2698 Automatic Tool Center of Gravity Setting Data Inaccurate The current value extracted by the automatic tool center of gravity setting function is invalid, making it impossible to complete the center of gravity calculation. 1. Optimize the teaching posture to ensure that the unbalanced torque is effectively applied to the end axis; 2. The alarm is automatically eliminated.

When the robot frequently displays the above hardware-level alarms, and routine reset attempts are ineffective, do not forcefully pull the robot arm or repeatedly force restarts, so as not to cause secondary irreversible damage.
