🔧 Engineering & Operational Guide
- Carbon Arc Gouging Air Supply: For clean, dross-free groove gouging with 8 mm or 10 mm carbon electrodes, maintain compressed air supply at 0.6–0.8 MPa (6–8 bar) with adequate CFM volume to blow molten slag clear of the cut.
- Duty Cycle Monitoring: Operating at 630A under continuous gouging loads generates immense heat. Ensure ambient ventilation around the power source cabinet is unobstructed to allow the high-volume cooling fans to operate at peak efficiency.
- Terminal Connection Rigidity: Regularly check and retighten the 630A output terminal nuts. Loose cable lugs under heavy gouging currents cause rapid resistance heating, which can melt terminal insulation and damage output studs.
